Hardware from Q Branch

Q Branch has been supplying hardware since 1996 when we entered into an agreement with Miracle Systems to become the retail outlet for their products. We built a further batch of Super Gold Cards, which sold out very quickly. The situation with both the QXL and the Super Gold Card is that they are now an end of life product. Some of the chips used in their manufacture are now obsolete.

We do now have new Gold and SuperGold Card Batteries.

Although we had hoped that there would be a new batch of Aurora motherboards, leading to a new Qubide replacement and, eventually, a Super Gold Card replacement, that would now seem to be either far off or not viable. We have heard nothing from Nasta about any of these projects.   

We do, however, have a range of second user items. These do vary from week to week so call or email us for details.

Mplane

This  low  profile backplane, was originally designed for use with the MinisQL, but will offer significant advantages over QPlane in other systems too . Features include the ability to plug in a RomDisq with greater security and the facility to secure the Super Gold Card to the mounting plate as well as the Aurora thus making a more robust system.

Qubide Rom Upgrades.

Version 2.01 ROM  upgrade consists of  2  GAL chips and a new ROM and disk. This upgrade gives new features and allows the use of ZIP drives on QL systems. Well worth the price !
