We supply programs in a number of different categories:
1997 saw the launch of four programs published directly by Q Branch. Q-Count was the first of these, a home accounting program written by running under the Pointer Environment and utilizing the DATAdesign database system.
Next came Q- Route a route finding program originally written by Brian Henderson for Atari systems then ported and substantially re-written by Rich Mellor for us.
We published was The Knight Safe by Mark Knight. This is a hard disk backup utility featuring the re-vamped Turbo Toolkit, which has been specially re-written to run under SMSQ/E and the pointer environment. The program is now at version 3. This version of the program has data compression / decompression routines to keep the number disks in the backup library to a minimum. It has be substantially updated to allow the retrieval of single files from an archive and split into 'Backup' and 'Restore' sections for ease of use. Updates available.

This is the new QL desktop. It is self installing and fully configurable. It features a sophisticated icon drawing program and will transform the way that you use your system. System requirements are SMSQ/E version 3 or higher / extended resolution / 4 Mb memory / hard disk drive.

This is a brand new game from Wolfgang Lenerz. A fast and addictive game in which you have to try to remove the balls from the playing area faster than they arrive. It takes full advantage of the sound and colour features of SMSQ/E but is still playable on machines without these facilities.

SuQcess
A database program based on the DBAS database program. This will import and export in the standard Archive export format and has a whole host of new facilities. Best of all databases created with this system can be programmed from BASIC.

SMSQ/E is the latest operating system to be written by TonyTebby the originator of the first QDOS systems and the man who wrote such classic programs as QRAM, QTYP, QPAC 2 and the ubiquitous Toolkit II.
This system was first implemented on the Atari plug in module as SMS2 and later grew into the operating system for the QXL as SMSQ. The version now on sale is the extended ( hence the '\E' ) O\S which includes Toolkit II, Ptr_gen, Hot_rext, and WMAN. It also includes several other extensions and functions that have previously had to be loaded separately by the user.
Features :
All versions come complete with the SERNET and MIDINET software for communications between other SMSQ/E driven devices and patch programs to change well known QL programs and extensions to run under the system. The Gold / Super Gold Card version also includes a free copy of Albin Hessler's SERmouse software which can be used to add a serial mouse device to the QL / Aurora.
Smsq/e has been substantially reduced in price.
